Mark Kelso

Originally hailing from Belfast, Northern Ireland, Mark Kelso has made Toronto, Canada his home for quite some time. Not only is he a skilled musician who plays drums and an assortment of percussion, but he is also a talented Singer, Producer and Composer as well. He brings a rare excitement, a wealth of experience and a high degree of professionalism to every project he works with.

Mark's ability to play a wide variety of musical styles has helped him become one of Canada's most sought after drummers. An in demand session player and veteran of touring the world, Mark has lent his "killer grooves" to such performers as, Pete Townsend, Holly Cole, Amanda Marshall, Amy Sky, Randy Brecker, Donny Osmond, Shirley Eikhard, Hilario Duran, Melanie Doane, Michel Cusson, The Montuno Police, Brian Hughes, Jane Bunnett & Spirits Of Havana, Soul Stew, Carol Welsman, Alan Frew, Gordie Sampson, Mary Jane Lamond, Joe Sealy, John-Allen Cameron, Marc Jordan, Bruce Guthro, Shania Twain, Don Rickles, Bob Newhart and Chita Rivera.

Besides being Musical Director for 2 Armed Forces Tours, ( one to the Middle East and Cyprus, the other to the North Pole ) Mark was also the M.D. for a General Motors Industrial Show that toured all across Canada. Other credits include many "jingles" for television and movie soundtracks. He was the featured cover interview in the April 1999 issue of " Drums, ETC " and the December 2000 issue of " Canadian Musician ".

Mark's theatre credits include "Needfire"- A Celtic Celebration, The WHO's "Tommy", Les Miserablés, Crazy For You, Kiss Of The Spider Woman, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Mark endorses and is a featured clinician for Orion Percussion, Yamaha Drums, PAISTE Cymbals, REMO heads, and Headhunters drumsticks.
