Montuno Police

Born and raised in Ottawa, Canada, Hugh Marsh began his musical career with classical music studies. Moving to Toronto in the late 70's Hugh hooked up with Bruce Cockburn and thus began a creative 8 year musical association. This high-profile gig brought Hugh an international reputation and allowed him to record 2 albums under his own name.
Both albums received critical acclaim and were highly original combining Marsh's compositional, improvisational and arranging skills with the pop talents of vocalist Robert Palmer and the jazz essence of saxist Michael Brecker. Marsh's creativity always places him at the fore front of the music scene whether it be eclectic pop, hard-core rap-funk or searing jazz.
